Set shorter referral times for mental health treatment on the NHS

What the petition asks
Many people suffer from severe mental health illnesses. Though they might try seek help early on, the waiting time for a referral can take months. 95% of people are seen after 18 weeks but for some people that’s way too long and their lives are in danger because they can’t get help.
The Government should set shorter targets for referral times and provide funding to ensure they are met.
