Petition · past parliament
Introduce random drink & drug testing to both Houses or Parliament MP & Lords

What the petition asks
Recently Parliament has been under greater scrutiny than ever before, it is my belief that the elected representatives of the UK, the Lords and their advisors be subject to the same Drink/Drug laws applied in all other work places. Positive tests should result in instant dismissal.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and House of Commons aren't responsible for removing MPs from office. That is a decision for the electorate.
