What the petition asks
Any serving MP should be removed from office immediately they are convicted of any criminal offence. Those in public office must be held accountable to the highest of standards, as Police, Fire Service etc are.
Fiona Onasanya, MP for Peterborough has been convicted of Perverting the course of justice for falsifying evidence for a motoring offence. She has refused to resign and parliamentary privileges allow here to remain in post and still draw her salary! How can this be right? There is an integrity issue here, to compound this, Ms Onasanya is a trained solicitor.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
