Peers and MPs should publicly declare all interests, monies, received from EU
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Any Peers or MPs who receive funding of any kind from the European Union should not be aloud to vote on any Brexit decision as they have a conflict of interest and would be biased with their vote.
48 parliamentarians claimed £5.7m in farming subsidies under the EU’s common agricultural policy (CAP) in 2017.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
The House of Commons has a Code of Conduct for MPs. MPs are already required to register and declare financial interests, and to avoid conflicts of interest, so we're not sure exactly what further action you'd like to see.
