What the petition asks
Electric scooters are currently already being used in Europe and is fully legal in France to use on cycle pathways. Electric scooters are quite safe and fairly easy to control. Many parts of the world have started using it and the problem is the UK law is a bit grey on this topic.
There are many benefits that will happen if we allow electric scooters.
It will increase people's use of the public transport which will help reduce pollution .
It will help decrease congestion even more as there would be less cars on the road.
They go to a similar speed to a cycle if not less and it is smaller than a cycle.
