Give more rights to parent of a child with a non paying parent

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Currently the child maintainence is not active in enforcing arrears amounting to thousands per child. Including if parent is in the hm forces. According to CMS there is little we can do to help our situation or recoup arreas. Give us more rights to do so!
I have spoken to CMS about policy in my situation my ex (armed forces) has a request (not order put in every month) we havent had any stable maintainence for months. CMS Wont help. Show failings and policys of CMS and force them to support the residential parent. Enough is enough.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We understand you are concerned about the rules concerning child maintenance but we aren't sure what change you would like to see.

You could start a new petition setting out clearly what new rights you would like given to parents.
