Petition · past parliament

Ascertain if Brexit is founded on and justified by the sole 2016 referendum.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Determine if Brexit is beyond reasonable doubt founded on and justified by the will of the people as expressed in the 2016 referendum. This would help to reconcile people who are, both in Politics and Civil Society, divided. Ascertain once and for all who decided to exit EU and on what basis.
Given the findings of the Electoral Commission regarding law breaking and the ICO findings, detetmining who exactly made the decision to leave the EU, trigger A50, and why is necessary. Did the PM alone make the decision? Was decision based on the referendum result, completely or in part ? Did parliament even in part authorize PM's notification of A50 on the basis of this outcome of the 2016 referendum?
The Electoral Commission reports, as the ICO one, are public and need not be linked to here.
