Automatic by-election if MPs resign from their current party
Rejected
13 signatures
What the petition asks
If a Member of Parliament decides to leave the party they were elected under, then they should be required to call a by-election and stand as an independent or for another party.
Due to the recent resignations of the seven Labour MPs who have just resigned from their party and 18th February 2019, it should be law that there is an automatic by-election and let the constituency decided whom and what party they now want to represent them in Parliament
