What the petition asks
It is noted that from time to time, MPs who feel they can no longer support their political parties cross the floor of the house. This is done without consulting their own constituents who therefore ought to have a say whether they should continue to represent them.
The recent defection of Labour and Conservative MPs to form a new independent grouping.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
