What the petition asks
On 22nd February 1944, a U.S. B17 returning from a mission in Europe crashed near a park in Sheffield, killing all 10 servicemen on board. Tony Foulds who witnessed the event has served their memory by tending their memorial in all the decades since. He deserves recognition 75 years on.
On 22nd February 2019, a flypast dedicated to the memory of the ten servicemen who lost their lives was featured on BBC news, the huge crowds gathered testament to the gratitude of the community and the respect they have for Mr Foulds' dedication to Allied remembrance. News item here:
