Amend the Dangerous Dog Act and Breed Specific Legislation

Rejected 15 signatures

What the petition asks

Innocent family pets are being seized under the DDA and BSL. They are doing no more than barking in their own gardens. Banning specific breeds has not decreased Dog Bite statistics. Dogs that fit the “measurements” are being seized because someone “believes” them to be “of type”.
We do not want any more dog breeds added to the Dangerous Dog Act or BSL. Under BSL, family pets are being taken because of how they look. Canine racism. Well behaved, friendly dogs are being taken from their families because they fit measurements, regardless of temperament.
