Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The government and opposition were both elected on manifestos supporting leaving the EU to the 2 years Article 50 time table. If they are unable or unwilling uphold the referendum vote, they should allow others to ensure the will of the people through a new electorial mandate of a general election.
Ieaving the EU, was fully outlined in the government leaflet issued to all households stating what the consiquences were of a vote to leave the EU of taking back control, and soverignty, to leave the customs union, the single market, and to end free movement of people. As the Prime Minister said BREXIT means BREXIT.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The resignation of a Minister would be an individual decision for that person, and not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.
