Students allowed to have authorised leave to join protests for climate change
Rejected

What the petition asks
Being in education is beneficial but extremely difficult and stressful. Why is it fair for students, of all ages, to go through this if those in control won’t save the future we’re educating ourselves for? We can retake exams and catch up on lessons, there’s no backup plan for our home.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because it's the responsibility of schools to authorise absence, not the UK Government or Parliament.
You could start a new petition calling on the UK Government or Parliament to take specific action about climate change following those protests if that is something you would like to see happen.
