Mothers need jobs to work during school hours

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

I want to return to work when my child starts school in September, but although I have someone who can look after him in school holidays I have no-one who can drop him to school or pick him up. I'm mother and I want to participate in my children's life

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We understand that you're concerned about the availability of childcare and jobs for mothers of school age children, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could ask the Government to start an employment programme for mothers of school-age children, if that's what you would like to happen.

There are other petitions about childcare. You might want to sign one of these if they ask for something you want to happen:

Put a Childcare Levy in place to help working families with childcare costs.

15 free hours of child care to all children aged 2years+
