Stop the need for mandatory notification to dvla for asd/Aspergers
Rejected

What the petition asks
New changes to the dvla notifiable conditions means those diagnosed asd/aspergers need to contact dvla when there is no medical reason. This is discriminatory and should be reconsidered

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We can't accept your petition because the DVLA has since clarified that there is only a need to inform them of asd/aspergers if it impacts the ability to drive.
You can find the revised guidance here:
https://www.gov.uk/asd-and-driving
You could start a new petition to remove the requirement to notify the DVLA entirely if that is something you would like to see happen.
