Implement 'Section 1 EQA 2010' and protect the poorest in society!

Closed 643 signatures

What the petition asks

From Benefits to Social Care, Careers to Housing, Education to the actual acknowledgement of the struggles the poorest face, class discrimination is rife and the implementation of policies, without 'Due Regard' has had serious wide ranging affects on the poorest in society.
Makes sense... Without this in place, government bodies need not show 'Due Regard' to the effects that these policies could cause the poorest people in society.

Policies such as 'UC' , 'PIP' and other capped or newly implemented benefits might not have existed!

'Positive Action' in recruitment could have helped get more working class into university or careers with severe underrepresentation. Unfortunately, this list goes on.

So let's put this right, to be a truly inclusive society, and implement the Equality Act 2010 in its entirity. Only then will everyone be treated fairly.
