What the petition asks

If people know your address and name they can make an application for a credit card as many times as they like which would ruin your credit file. Sending proof of identify when making an application can help to put a stop to this.

This is particularly common for people who suffer from harassment and makes it easier for harassers to disrupt the person’s life. I know as I have been a victim of this. Please sign this petition to make it harder for people to do this. It wouldn’t be too difficult to send proof of identity when applying for credit cards. It also means that there would be a lot less fraud going on.
