Lower the alcohol tax on pubs.

What the petition asks
The local pub was once the centre of a community, where people made new friends, could talk to people about their problems and even meet future spouses! Pubs have always been at the centre of a buzzing community, but now less people are going due to the prices. Keep this British tradition alive.
Pubs are now pubs closing down at an alarming rate due to the increasing tax on pubs. On average, eighteen pubs are closing each week. There is a direct correlation between the rise of alcohol tax on pubs and the decline in pub numbers.
