What the petition asks
The Speaker must be accountable for their decisions. Otherwise it undermines faith in the business of the House. We need a clear, modern & transparent set of rules & an independent adjudication panel to make sure the Speakers decisions are impartial.

The impartiality of the Speaker should never come into question. In order to achieve this, the rules and guidelines for the Speaker should be up to date, transparent and clear.
It is important that the public maintains faith and trust in Parliament, in order to achieve this, key roles such as the Speaker must be made accountable and have clear guidelines that Parliamentarians & the wider public can follow and accept.
