What the petition asks
Learn NHS is a campaign to get the NHS on to the national curriculum. We want children to be taught how to best navigate the NHS and how to most appropriately use its services.
Most children will use the NHS in their lifetime. It is important that they understand how their NHS is funded.
We all want to preserve the NHS for the future. Making sure that everyone understands how the service works is key to that aim.
Inappropriate patient attendances play a small part in the difficulties faced by today’s NHS. However, we believe that if future generations are empowered to use the NHS effectively and taught how services are funded it could help to ease some of the pressures on our already overstretched health service.
