What the petition asks
Parliament voted to invoke A50 - this gave them 2 years to negotiate a deal with the EU. If a Deal cannot be negotiated within that time frame, the legal position is WE LEAVE THE EU ON NO DEAL TERMS on March 29th, 2019 at 11.00pm GMT. This will honour the democratic 2016 referendum result.
Parliament voted to give the decision to the people of the UK
Parliament agreed to honour the resulting the 2016 referendum
The people of UK voted by a majority to Leave the EU
Parliament voted to Invoke A50 which triggered a 2 year negotiating period
If Parliament cannot deliver a Deal by the end of the 2 year period, the legal position is to Leave WITHOUT A DEAL
This must be adhered to or Parliament will have denied the public of their democractic will
