MPs pay should be Performance Related

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

Many employees in this country are subject to Performance Related Pay. MPs promise a lot but so often fail to deliver. This sort of performance should be reflected in their wallets by linking all or part of their salary to performance.
An independent body could set objectives annually.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) is responsible for deciding on MPs' pay. IPSA is independent of both Parliament and Government.
