What the petition asks

Critical petitions create serious demand from the population and when the site goes down people are not able to record their signature. This means people are missing an opportunity to demonstrate their right to democracy.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We have significantly increased the processing capacity of the UK Government and Parliament petitions system since the unprecedented demand in late March.
