Petition · past parliament

Stop using sentences such as “the people have spoken” and “I am on your side”

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

16,141,341 voted to remain.
28 per cent of people didn’t vote and young people who are now eligible to vote couldn’t. These slogans are divisive and offensive to those who wish to remain in the EU. If we (also the people) are ignored now, we will ignore parties using these in future elections.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The UK Parliament and Government are not responsible for the phrases that individuals use.
