What the petition asks
Cheap single use garden netting kills thousands of birds and wildlife each year and is often used in places where it will come into direct contact with animals.
Single-use netting can be purchased for as little a £1, it's often used in places where it will come into direct contact with animals, it is even used to wrap bird food fat balls.
It is often useless for its intended purpose and traps animals which become entangled in it rather than repelling them, these animals, birds, hedgehogs, and even domestic pets can be trapped for days often leading to slow deaths or strangulation.
Better alternatives are already available.
