What the petition asks
With the recent nonsense that is taking place with regards to external people from outside the UK voting on our petition site we propose to Geofence all future votes so you can only vote from within the UK or its territories abroad.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We can't accept your petition because we aren't sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take. We aren't sure what you mean by "external people".
The current petitions rules allow British citizens to sign petitions, even if they live overseas. You could start a new petition so that only UK residents can sign petitions if that is something you would like to happen.
