What the petition asks
Islamophobia has increased in UK causing concerns and fears amongst the muslim community. The government is urged to consider funding security guards at mosques and all other places of worship and legislate to kerb irresponsible social media and abuse of the freedom of speech.
The tragic event at Christchurch shocked us all. The world has seen the decisive leadership shown by Prime Minister of New Zealand. She showed strength, empathy and warmth in dealing with the vile terror attack on the mosques. She inspired the whole nation to unite against the acts of terror. Our government, senior politicians and those in responsible positions should act responsibly. We urge the government to take responsibility for funding mosques’ security guards.
