Extend the school day until 5pm resulting in the removal of school homework

If the school day is extended, homework could be removed, resulting in family time at home and children will be less stressed

We can't accept your petition because schools already have the power to set their own hours and policies on homework. This is therefore a decision for schools and not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could start a new petition calling for all schools to be required to finish at 5 pm and for homework to be banned if that's something you would to see happen.
