End the school day at lunch on Friday.

Ending the week at Friday lunch wouldn’t make the week dramatically smaller, however for children it makes their weekend feel twice the length. Often children do activities at the weekend and having some time off would let them hang around with their mates. Cutting Friday short would allow this.

We can't accept your petition because this would be a decision for the school and not the UK Government or Parliament. The UK Government doesn't set opening hours for schools.

You could start a new petition calling for the Government to set opening hours for all schools, including an earlier finish on Fridays, if that's something you would like to see happen.
