Legislate for standardised sudden infant death inquest procedures and verdicts

What the petition asks
The 'open verdict' on my son's death certificate left me with no closure. Not even a name to describe his death. It makes it very difficult moving forward. However in other almost identical cases parent's received a very different verdict.Unlike myself, many were also not made to attend the inquest.
Since my baby's death I have spoken to quite a few bereaved parents in very similar circumstances, who have explained how different the procedures and outcomes have been. I believe this is very unfair and think it should be more standardised across the UK. I would like to push for all sudden infant deaths that do not have enough evidence to establish a cause to be classed as 'SUDI' (Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy).
