What the petition asks
Since the 2016 EU referendum, the government has been negotiating a deal with the EU to define the terms of the us leaving the EU. The goverment’s deal has been rejected twice by parliamentary vote and the government wishes MPs to vote a third time. A public referendum will break the deadlock.
