What the petition asks
16.2 billion pounds are spent on clothing deliveries in the U.K. each year. Each piece of clothing is typically covered by an unnecessary plastic bag and this needs to stop. It is beyond wasteful, harms our environment, and is incredibly unnecessary.
We already know the impact plastic is having on our environment and oceans. With the rise in demand for online shopping, keeping on top of the plastic that is used for packaging is of high importance and this plastic is simply unnecessary.
All packages should be delivered using degradable materials and should only contain one piece of this per delivery, as opposed to one per piece of clothing delivered within that package.
