Abolish the UK Parliament if we remain in the EU
Rejected

What the petition asks
Consecutive governments have given away power to Europe, to the point they have made themselves redundant. I for one do not see the need to pay politicians a hefty salary while doing nothing. Why do we pay for two governments? It's clear as day we only need one.
There are currently about 12,000 EU regulations in operation in the UK.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We understand you're concerned about Brexit, but we aren't sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
You could start a new petition calling for the UK Government to negotiate for expanded powers for the EU to replace national governments if that is something you would like to see happen.
