Abolish the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority - Then Stop Paying MPs

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

Abolish/Shutdown the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority and have Government remove MP's pay. Replace MPs pay with a central care system and an end of service financial incentive program for all MPs serving the country.
This is to remove the personal biases seen within government today.
MPs should be:
Not paid
Catered for
Cared for
Financially looked after post government service.
Not allowed to take up concurrent employment.
Focused on the betterment of our country.

MPs currently:
Overpaid
Personally biased in government decisions
Allowed to fiddle exspences and claim far too much.

We need to:
Remove the money/pay to allow genuine people who want what's best to serve this country and reward them post service.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We can't accept your petition because it's not clear what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.

In particular, MPs are not allowed to "fiddle expenses", what you mean by "removing personal biases" or who would be responsible for setting the rates you have in mind.

You could start a new petition to abolish IPSA and have Parliament set MPs wage rates if that is what you would like to happen.
