Sack MP's Who Go Against Democratic Vote - Breach of MP Code of Conduct

Rejected 13 signatures

What the petition asks

MP's are voting down the Brexit deal, which is in direct violation of the public interest. The Members of Parliament Code of Conduct, clearly documents that MP's have to act on behalf of the public interest - not in their own interest. If they go against public wishes they should be sacked.
MP Code of conduct breach examples:

Members have a general duty to act in the interests of the nation as a whole; and a special duty to their constituents.

Members shall base their conduct on a consideration of the public interest, avoid conflict between personal interest and the public interest and resolve any conflict between the two, at once, and in favour of the public interest.

Holders of public office should take decisions solely in terms of the public interest.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for MPs/Cabinet Ministers to be sacked.

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or Parliament, you could start a petition about that.

The UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for removing MPs from office because of their views or opinions.
