What the petition asks
The Monarchy have the best interests of the UK in their hearts. Leaving the country in the hands of current MPs will be of detriment to our future as a Nation.The Queen previously had the power to dissolve Parliament and call a general election, the Fixed-Term Parliaments Act put an end to that.
The Queen previously wielded the power to dissolve Parliament and call a general election, but the Fixed-Term Parliaments Act put an end to that in 2011. Amend the Fixed Term Parliaments Act and reinstate the power back to the Monachy to enable them to dissolve Parliament and call a general election.
