Petition · past parliament

Dissolve Parliament and reinstate Queen Elizabeth II as absolute monarch.

Rejected 18 signatures

What the petition asks

This country has been going to the dogs since 1642.

Instead of paying £50,296,350 in salaries, plus expenses, for the House of Commons to pass our legislation, we should give the job to HM Queen Elizabeth II per her divine right.
The Royal Estate currently funds the costs of the Queen entirely with a substantial profit on top.

This could therefore be used to fund any increase in staffing required with the saving in MPs salaries giving every hard working taxpayer in the UK a tax cut of approximately £1.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We can't accept your petition because it's not clear what you mean by "give the job to HM Queen Elizabeth II". Parliament was still responsible for passing laws, even before 1642.

You could start a new petition setting out clearly the powers you would like to be transferred to the monarch.
