What the petition asks
Journalists routinely deadname and misgender people from the transgender community.
The IPSO should be allowed to sanction a financial penalty when this occurs as it is breaching confidentiality and are also breaching the equality act.

Furthermore when this occurs it is discrimination against a minority group and further segregates a vulnerable minority group.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
