What the petition asks

To stop the knife crime in London :

3. From 16 years old should go to prison for carring knife ,
4. Parents should go to prison if child under 16 is caught carring knife

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because policing in London is the responsibility of the Mayor of London and not the UK Government or Parliament. However, you could start a new petition calling for the first three points to be implemented across England if that is something you would like to see happen.

You would also have to give your full name, or initial and surname, to start a petition.
