What the petition asks
Qualifying years for new state pension increased from 30 to 35 In 2016 under New State Pension act
With some transitional protection, rules for marriage, divorce and bereavement ended and women can no longer make up years by utilising their husbands NIC contribution record.

At short notice women do not have enough years for Full new state pension.
For 1950’s born women already hit by up to 6 years increase in state pension age, they have no time to make up the extra years needed and may lose out on New state Pension altogether.
Widows, divorcees and married women adversely affected.
