Restore the words EUROPEAN UNION on the front cover of United Kingdom passports.

What the petition asks

The United Kingdom currently remains a member of the European Union but the UK Government has started to issue passports without the words "EUROPEAN UNION" on the front cover. UK passport holders should be entitled to have their European citizenship recognised on their passports.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Reinstate the words "European Union" on newly issued British passports.
