What the petition asks
The government is there because of who the public vote in and for. She is not acting on behalf of the country and is betraying the people with her chooses not the public voting results.
2016 referendum 17.4 million people voted to leave the EU with No Customs Union, No single matket, we voted to Leave with no deal. That was promised it would happen and is repeatedly delayed by the PM and threatened not to happen at all. The British democracy is not being respected.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The resignation of the Prime Minister would be an individual decision for that person, and not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.
