Peoples Vote on London Mayor, popular opinion has changed on the post holder
Rejected
12 signatures
What the petition asks
The current Mayor of London has failed to deal with the escalation of knife crime and increased murder rate during his time in office. More effort has been put into campaigning against Brexit than the actual job he was elected to. Public opinion has changed and a people's vote is needed as a result
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We're not sure whether you'd like to change the length of term for the London Mayor or change the law so that the Government can decide the date of the mayoral elections. At the moment, the next London mayoral election will be held in May 2020.
