What the petition asks

With wildlife struggling in the urbanisation of their territory. Small mammals, such as hedgehogs need the help from us. Therefore, (with professional guidance) at the bottom of a wall/wooden or metal fence, a gap must be available and written into building regulations, so that wildlife can thrive.

Above although makes out to be optimistic, clearly states that there's been a massive impact on these creatures.
The removal of hedgerows has also had an impact, which could be rectified by planting hedges around the outside parameters of children's play parks.
