What the petition asks

MPs should be limited to the number of terms they can sit as an MP to help increase the representation of women and ethnic minority candidates at Westminster, the limit should be three or four terms maximum.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Change the way parliament works so that MPs' role is not a career.
