What the petition asks

Julian Assange was originally forced into hiding by accusations from Sweden which have since been dropped and if extradited to the US he may face the death penalty. to end his life for fighting against government corruption and revealing important truths to the people is morally reprehensible.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

This is a decision for the courts, which are independent of the UK Government and Parliament.

In any case, under UK law people cannot be extradited if there is a possibility of the death penalty being imposed following a guilty verdict.
