What the petition asks
There is now acceptance within the EU that it must reform to survive.
A re-negotiation of the UK membership is now timely and should provide the impetus for the EU to agree changes which will
1. Enable the UK to remain in the EU.
2. Ensure the survival of the European alliance into the future.

There is a growing realisation in the EU that PM Cameron should not have been so harshly treated when proposing changes to the EU and UK membership. The government appears to have achieved all it can in negotiating a deal to leave the EU. The Government should draw a line under the current negotiations and use the extended time available to re-negotiate with the EU the best deal it can for the UK to remain in the EU. The details of the 2 deals should be put to the public for an informed vote.
