Enforce party election candidates to disclose who they are representing,

Rejected 20 signatures

What the petition asks

Change the legislation and guidance so that the pubic are not mislead, if a candidate belongs to a party political party and their ultimate goal is to represent under this banner, they should and must display this information. Emblem and description should be displayed on the ballot paper .
Many other areas of our services and products are governed by legislation not to misrepresent about how they work or the purpose of them. I want the same for residents when voting. To know who and want we are voting for. The public deserve transparency and correct information to make an informed decision.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We can't accept your petition because we aren't sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.

You could start a new petition calling for candidates to have to declare if they are members of a political party and have that information on the ballot paper if that is something you would like to see happen.
