Help eliminate discrimination against LGBT within the Commonwealth of Nations

What the petition asks
Homosexual activity remains a criminal offence in 35 CoN member states. The British government have a moral duty to persuade, to encourage and to assist the authorities of CoN states to voluntarily and actively decriminalise homosexual activity and to introduce new laws to protect human rights.
Anti-gay legislation, introduced by British colonists, and discrimination prevents sexual health education, which contributes to an escalating HIV crisis and consequently more, broader human suffering. As a result, the Commonwealth accounts for 60% of all HIV carriers, many of whom lack necessary medical treatment or sexual health education, despite the fact that only 30% of the world population reside in the Commonwealth.
