What the petition asks

By Election should automatically be held when an MP has been sentenced (whether served or not) to a term of imprisonment.
Titles should be removed from any member of the House of Lords, for the same reason.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Make MP’s automatically lose their job if they are imprisoned.
